A blog for the reading of The Crucible.

Over break our AP English Lit class, we are to read an independent reading novel, which in my case is The Crucible. The novel dates back to the time of the Salem witch trials, which means to understand the book in a clear way, one must have s clear sense of knowledge to understand the play.

2 blogs

I have combined the two blog posting in one. I read all of act one and posted the whole complete opinion of the scenario.

Any questions that anyone wants to ask me?

Level Questions:
1. Is witch-craft some what tied in with politics?
2. Is indeed witch-craft the real problem in the story?

  1. I believe Witch craft contributes alot in the story and makes the problems bigger but it's not necessarily the "real problem". Their are lots of factors that contribute together to make the problems. For example, lies, manipulations, and the heavily religious society that controls almost everything. People aren't really free to do whatever they like therefore creating some chaos among each other.
